DASTAK Films

DASTAK Foundation has produced a series of short films on the subject of gender-based violence such as Domestic Abuse, Rape, Property Theft, Cyber Harassment, Street Harassment and Workplace Harassment, among other issues in order to spark the much-needed conversation on ways and means to encourage survivor support mechanisms across the country and to deter the culture of victim blaming. DASTAK Film series aims to expand both the conversation and the options available for victims of violence . It does that by first understanding the prevalent constraints; the unique situations people find themselves in, the dearth of available legal policies and the lack of knowledge of the same. DASTAK Film series wants to highlight that, the road to redemption for victims goes inwards as much as outwards. That it looks different, for each one of us. DASTAK is a call to see dialogue, education and evolution of thought- as essential ingredients to any sort of social development.
